Fabrics and How We Build Each Gown

A plain look at the fabrics and structure inside every gown we make.

Mulberry Silk SatinWoven from mulberry silk, bought in graded lots and checked for weight and finish

Gives the gown its drape and soft sheen without clinging to the body

French Chantilly LaceMachine-run lace with each motif edge trimmed by hand

Adds fine floral texture along necklines, sleeves and hems

Structured Interior LiningCut from cotton-blend lining and light boning, fitted seam by seam

Holds the bodice shape through a long evening without wires digging in

Italian TulleFine mesh tulle layered by hand under the outer fabric

Adds body and movement to skirts without weighing the gown down

Sourcing

We buy from certified mills and workshops that document origin and dye lot. Records are kept on file for every batch of fabric.

Each bolt of fabric is checked by hand for flaws and colour before it's cut. Anything below our standard never reaches the workroom floor.

The inside label states the fabric blend in order of quantity, with care notes called out. What's on the label is what's in the gown.
